Barcelona’s subway and bus system is actually amazing…so much faster and more reliable than anything in the US. Literally, anywhere we wanted to go - the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batlló - we had no trouble getting there. Plus, it was always fairly quick, even though we were staying at Sant Joan Despí, which is kinda far out.
Handy and easy to use
The peace of mind when using the card is so worth it. We never had to worry about if we had the right type of ticket, buying tickets, what type of transportation was going that way…the travel card solved all those issues. We could just get up, ramble wherever, and never bothered with individual tickets.
